ADHD charities, children’s sleep doctors, child psychiatrists, general practitioners, psychologists, sleep and ADHD researchers, patient and public involvement leads, economists, clinical trial experts, and statisticians have all come together to improve the support for parents and carers of children with ADHD.
Cathy Hill
Co-lead
Cathy is a Professor in Sleep Medicine at the University of Southampton and a children’s sleep doctor. She has led several large studies on children’s sleep and leads on national professional teaching courses about child’s sleep problems.

Andrea is the founder and CEO of ADDISS, a national ADHD charity.

David Daley
David is a Professor of Psychological Intervention and Knowledge Exchange and Head of Applied Psychological Practice at Nottingham Trent University. David will be leading the development of the sleep problem questionnaire and the educational sleep guide for health professionals.

Lucy Smith
Lucy is a Research Fellow at the Nottingham Trent University. She will be developing the sleep problem questionnaire and educational sleep guide for health professionals.
Katya Rubia
Katya is a Professor of Cognitive Neuroscience at King’s College London. She will be leading on the work to modify a set of cognitive tasks (e.g. memory, attention tests) so they are appropriate for the children in the research.

Debra Skene
Debra is a Professor and Section Lead of Chronobiology at the University of Surrey. She will help us to develop the digital sleep guide for parents and help us to assess sleep and light exposure patterns in children with ADHD.
Samuele Cortese
Co-lead
Samuele is a Professor of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at the University of Southampton and a Consultant Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist. He has led several large studies to inform the evidence-based management of children with ADHD.

Alison Rowsell
Research Fellow
Ali Rowsell is a Research Fellow working in the Primary Care Research Centre at the University of Southampton. Her research interests include supporting under-served groups, communication and web-based interventions. She is a qualitative researcher and will be involved in the qualitative interviews and analysis.
Elizabeth Dixon
Elizabeth is a Senior Trial Manager at the of Southampton Clinical Trials Unit. She will be helping to manage the trial to test the digital sleep guide.

Hazel Everitt
Hazel is a GP and Professor of Primary Care Research at the University of Southampton. She has run many large clinical trials in Primary Care on a range of conditions. She has a research interest in improving sleep management and in getting research evidence into clinical practice to improve patient care.
Joanne Lord
Joanne is a Professor of Health Economics at the University of Southampton. She will be leading the cost-effectiveness (value for money) analysis for the digital sleep guide.
